Tatjana says:

"I began training in Shotokan Karate-do in 1997, inspired by movies featuring Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. I also had a strong desire to learn self-defense and be able to stand up for myself.

I quickly became fascinated by sport karate and competed at regional and international levels for many years. I have held Latvian and Baltic championship titles, and in 2013, I won the world championship at a competition in Poland. Additionally, I have placed in international tournaments in France, Germany, Italy, Estonia, and Lithuania.

I have attended seminars led by renowned karate masters such as Sadashige Kato, Kenneth Funakoshi, and Rafael Aghayev.

I have completed a coaching course, obtained a coaching certificate, and have been teaching karate to children and young people since 2013.

In my classes, I aim to share the joy of sports and Shotokan Karate-do with the children. Through various games and exercises, they learn karate techniques in a fun, exciting, and accessible way.

Karate is about more than just physical training. Through these sessions, children become part of a great community, make new friends, overcome their fears, gain confidence and discipline, and learn self-defense.
It is important to me that the training never becomes dull; instead, I want the children to look forward to coming to class and learning something new every time."
